“And the doors of the palace opened up for her. Full of relief, Soureya headed outside, happy to leave behind all the power and wealth. Now her life could really begin!

“Samer? Are you still awake?”

Nabil glanced around. Only the donkey was walking beside him. When he looked back, he saw Samer lying on the ground some distance behind, dozing in the light of the full moon.

He must have missed at least half of the story! Nabil turned his camel and rode back. Then he climbed down, lay on the ground beside Samer, and went to sleep as well.
